Our newsroom is a user friendly environment not only
designed to help keep our customers informed, but also
to demonstrate how CEAR plays an active daily role in
reducing the e-waste problem.
NEWS & EVENTS:
Educating students about the
importance of electronics recycling is one of CEAR's main
focuses. We regularly conduct Electronic Waste drives
where the primary platform is to raise funds for
schools, non-profits and churches. At the same time we
are educating the participants about what to do when
they have old electronics to discard. In continuing our
dedication to educating the younger population, we are
hosting a field trip in October for a local Rancho
Cordova middle school. The students will tour our
facility and view first hand how the electronics are
dismantled and recycled when they reach CEAR.
The September 8th E-Waste
Collection event that CEAR hosted for Del Oro High
School was to help them raise funds for their fine arts
department. The e-waste drive was such a huge success,
the Sacramento Bee sent a reporter to cover the event.
Our hard working event team and the volunteers from Del
Oro High School set a very high standard for future
events.
